Busy day around the homestead yesterday and didn't even take a moment to check the website but this morning I see you guys have been busy with comments. And I love it. Also like to see the interaction between some of you. The comment section is a bit limited in amount of times you can respond to a specific post but new threads can always be added via new comment. I really enjoy input... lets me know you're keeping up to date with updates. Also helps me build a rapport with each of you outside our typically lengthy initial phone conversations. We have a lot of ground to cover over the course of the next 9 weeks. Many pics and general updates to cover on my end... and preparations for incoming on your end. I'll try and make your wait as pleasant as I can.
Will try and snap a few more photos today and get them uploaded this evening.... pups are growing and getting plump. Doing well.

Below is our adjusted reservation list... please check it and make sure your names coincide with what you had originally agreed to and are expecting. I still have copy of the original.

Love to hear that they are "plumping" up! Out of curiosity, how often do they nurse at this stage? And just from the pics you posted earlier they seem to be motoring around pretty good looking at their different placements in the pen in your various shots, which really surprised me for being only a few days old. Do they need much help from Getka or you to get where the need to be, a la the "milk bar"?

They are motoring well. I try not to interfere with Getka much... unless it looks like she might accidentally lay or sit on one. Really only a concern in the first few days. I'm always in attendance or within ear shot in the early days for that reason. Accidents can happen although fortunately I've never experienced one of that variety. She picks them up gently with her mouth and moves them about once in a while. Really my only dog that has done that but I know it's not uncommon. The more you fuss with them the more often that occurs. Sometimes dogs will try and move/hide them with too much outside interference. Cats the same. Pups really begin to motor with purpose a day or two after their eyes open. Right now the only sense they're going by is that of smell... Hard to tell how often they nurse. Getka is getting out of the box now on occasion to lay on the floor. Cooler for her. Room has to be kept quite warm first week or two for the sake of the pups. Gradually decreasing. I'm sleeping with a sheet and often that's too much. Seems someones always nursing though... at this stage they take turns. Soon they'll be attacking Getka all at once to grab the "sweet spot" ... all bellied up to the milk bar at the same time. Not too bad with 7 pups but a bit of a problem with a large litter of twelve. I prefer the smaller litters. Seven is perfect. Enough room for all.

Thanks for the update Debi. Really looking forward to having a little brother for Liberty. It’s been tough around the house this week, and Liberty is noticeably confused. She is really filling out in the chest and shoulders now, about right timing wise, just shy of two.

Have thought of you often past several days Joe. So sorry to hear about Texas. You always did right by him though and he lived a long healthy and happy life life to the end. I know it hurts but you gave him a great life. Something you can always take with you... fond memories will return one day to outweigh the ones you're feeling now. But yes, Lib needs a companion dog at this stage of her life... Glad Getka was able to come through for you. Hugs to you and Deb.

So sorry for your loss Joe. We lost our girl back in August too, they leave one heck of a hole when they go, and i still get choked up thinking about her. The time they're around is so short in comparison, but quality wise, it's richer than a gold mine.
