Weights Are Posted...

Pups are all doing great and have experienced good gains over just under a weeks time. One just over a pound, most 3/4 to just under a pound, and for some reason one, Brown, only six ounces. He seems healthy though. I've not noticed any behavior that leads me to think otherwise. Maybe it's as simple as him missing the feeding just prior to weights being taken.

While my intent was to upload some photos yesterday the pups just weren't being photogenic. Ended up taking the camera with me when I retired for the evening and snapped a few as I watched them along with some TV. Some not the greatest maybe -but better than none.

Everyones getting around fairly well. Scooting for the most part pulling from the front with back legs extended. A few trying to propel on occasion by drawing a back leg up for a push off.

Tails are looking good... healing.

Other than that there's not much new to report... eat sleep and repeat.

Those are all good weights. Within an ounce or two compared to Jess/Serious’ May 2018 litter. Those all appear to be thriving, healthy pups. Keep up the great work Getka (and Debi).

They really are. Getka is proving to be a much better mom with some practice under her belt. She was a bit shaky with her first. Nearly drove me over the edge.

Love seeing them all huddled up together, but that one overhead shot of them all mostly in their own spot cracks me up with their chubby little bellies. Copper looks like he just finished a thanksgiving meal and may have had to loosen his belt!
Thanks for the pics Deb. My mantra over the next few weeks is gonna be "Wow, how much they've grown!" <3

Looks like brown gained 1 lb even unless my math is wrong...they all look great!!!

You are 100% correct Scott. Thanks for catching that. Didn't really make sense to me they way I had it figured. All things considered. Funny, I was always strong in math. One of those things I guess... you don't use it you lose it. :-)

Hi Andre, looks like we're neighbors. I'm in Coral Springs right up the street! Maybe some day when the CV has passed we can get together at a local dog park to hang out with the families and the dogs. Debi has permission to give you my contact information if you would like.

I think that's a great idea Scott. But.... I don't really recommend dog parks for these days. Maybe ok in the early days. After fully vaccinated they can be taken to the small dog section of dog parks. Around age 8-9 months of age they can run into troubles in those parks. I think backyard get togethers a much better option. Joe can vouch for what I'm saying. A pup in Liberty's litter was brutally attacked by a dog in a dog park. Wounds looked as though aggressor was aiming for her pups privates. An attempt to desex him. Wasn't pretty. Her pup is one of 4-5 I'm aware of even though I advise against frequenting dog parks. I'll be posting a wonderful article I came across on a blog spot regarding early socialization. There's really nothing written there I don't agree with.
