Todays visit as planned came from Chris and Cindy. Another truly lovely couple. This screening thing... the questions the answers and the stuff between the lines... 99.0 percent of the time works. The other one percent generally works it's way out in the end. Yesterday I thanked you for choosing me to be your breeder. Today I thank you- each of you for being who you said you were. Raising pups, talking to people about them, following up with them etc serves to restore my faith in the sometimes questionable human race.
Doberman puppies are never questionable. They're an open book ready to shower you with love and devotion. They may get into a little mischief but given the chance will make up for their deeds over the span of time. 99% of the time anyway. The other one percent? Well, let's just say, don't leave anything laying around that's 100% irreplaceable and you'll probably never have to deal with the 1%.
So back to Chris and Cindy and their choice. Sometimes couples don't always agree. In their case, I think they had things pretty well narrowed down to two when they arrived. But Cindy confessed she liked one a little better than the other... and Chris the opposite. There was no arguing, no debating but it was obvious and stated. The only thing left to do... the fair thing was to flip a coin. I was the coin tosser and Yellow collared pup on the second toss, two of three, became Zuka! With that I'm happy to announce another pup has been claimed and will join yet another lovely couple. A couple who stated to each other, and I believe in all honesty, "it really doesn't matter; they're both great pups"!
