First outing...
A little bit of a shock to the sensibilities but most warmed up to the idea fairly quickly. Some more quickly than others and some demonstrate more bravery than others. I think what I saw in the pups is fairly evident from the selection below. Unfortunately it turned cold the day after our photo shoot, has stayed pretty chilly, and they haven't been out since. My plan is to get them out, maybe in pairs, tomorrow for a brief adventure. Still chilly but I'll see how they handle it. In pairs they might be a bit more active than individually and able to build up or at least maintain body heat. They say pups can't regulate their own body temp until the age of 4 weeks and when it's much cooler than room temp which is currently about 72 I error on the side of caution until about the 5th week. These are Florida pups after all. And Dobermans who notoriously chill easily, even as adults. When it comes to the cold Dobermans, to varying degrees are wimps. Kind of odd for such strong, stoic dogs.
