Well, I'm not sure how many of you are keeping up with the blog. Hopefully all of you. We had a new and different outdoor adventure today. The pups were introduced for the first time to the big dog run. They got there on their own steam with some encouragement but were a little hesitant of the unknown. I set them up with their noon meal which they eagerly consumed while I did the weekly deep clean of their indoor habitat.
Once the focus was off their chow, they put up a little fuss over being in unfamiliar territory with the adults circling the run from time to time. They seemed to put up a token effort to be released from their confines when I walked by the exterior of the run to check on them and give them encouragement for a job well done.
They quickly grew accustomed to things though and a few decided to give the rope toy a go. Black male has the big dog "shake that thing" down pat. I went to retrieve the camera with plans for a video of him but by the time I returned he had moved on to the act of exploring his surroundings with the rest of the pack.
And then...
like clockwork,
they became
calm and quiet and were down for the count
and settled in for
a nice long nap!
Eat, potty, play, sleep..... and repeat!
