And I've got a busy week ahead! I found the first pup out of his pup habitat last night when I returned home from work. Blue was on his own but contently curled up along side the whelping pool and sound asleep. I figured it was a fluke, that possible he had climbed atop Majestic's back and then out, but I now doubt that assumption. As I watched the pups before turning in for the night, I saw Red easily propel herself over the edge of her temporary place of residence in her attempt to get to mom. I didn't really expect them to be so agile so quick. This is the first time I've had pups able to venture out prior to roughly the 3.5 week mark. Red and Blue beat that record by several days. Majestic it seems, has passed her agility genes onto her litter! With that said, today I'll be retiring the whelping pool, and setting up the pup corral.
New collars are in order too as the pups have finally outgrown the allowable re-sizing of the Velcro I place on them as newborns. This week they will graduate to their first true "dog collar" equipped with buckles and all.
I'll also try to get individual photos of each throughout the course of the week and open up their individual pup pages. Updates to follow.
And I'm off to get busy!......
