Just Getting Started!

Wow!!! Just wow... Now that we've had a chance to let the dust and pups settle and I've had some time to think about Lexi's litter, I really have to say this seems to be the "perfect" litter. All current requests for pups can be fulfilled and everyone on the wait list will be offered a choice as we have a pup of each sex that has thus far been unspoken for.

I managed to get all the pups weighed today and am happy to report all weigh a full pound or over. That's a first. These are some large and healthy pups. Lexi again has done a great job and is doing a fabulous job of mothering! Tomorrow the pups will experience their first road trip and vet appointment for tail docking and dew claws.

In other news, having experienced some technical difficulties toward the end of my last litter, I knew a new computer was in order before attempting to update the goings on of a new litter. That problem was solved today. I hope! Having my sister in town allowed me a shopping partner. She assures me I will "love" my new MAC as she does hers.... at least once I get used to it she says.... I'm hopeful! Wish me luck!

Great choice. Macs are, in my opinion, amazing laptops. You will love it. And I'm sooooo excited! Art and I are buying the final things now that we know for sure we will have a puppy! There is so many choices in beds, toy and foods etc... i dont know what to pick. Do you have any tips in brands that are durable and not hyped and overpriced. Or with stuff that has been successful with your pack?

Natalia I've found some great deals at Chew.com They have some pretty good buys on kid gates and have some tall ones. My dogs don't get beds per say or crate mats because they tend to find the zippers and unstuff them. I make no sew fleece blankets for them. The puppies do we'll with stuffies but not for long. They seem to really like Zanie Geckos and Happy Moppy's. I try and stay away from anything made in China for health reasons. For serious chewing I recommend Elk Antlers. They're kind of expensive but last a long time. And they're natural which can never be beat. If you're looking for something specific, let me know and maybe it will jar my memory regarding some other things.

That is Awesome!!! Apple has great training and helpful employees, They will help you so easily after Gail has to go home and if you get stuck. The picture is awesome, The clarity is over the top. I'm like Natalia, I went to Things Remembered and ordered Harmony's tag. Whisper's had gotten so worn you could hardly read it. So I wanted a heavier metal with deeper cut letters. Thank you guys for everything that makes life SO MUCH BETTER!!!

They're so beautiful! Lex looks well! You'll love your Mac, and it's so easy to operate! The kids are all very excited for the new puppy!

Thanks Kathy. Lex really is looking great! And she's peppy and a attentive mommy! She takes her job seriously... I miss her constant companionship when she has pups but they need her more than I at the moment.

Sally, I use Dr McBride for cropping only or for any Dobie health concerns which fortunately with my dogs have been few and in the end insignificant. The pups did well with my local vet in Melrose. Dr Rea typically does the docking and dew claws and health certificates on the first group that go in for crops. Fortunately we didn't run into any bad storms.
