I don't doubt that all of you with puppies underfoot are busy with... well, puppies. But on the off chance you are still checking the blog, maybe you can tell those waiting for the girls how your pups' first night went and what they have to look forward to. Might as well make the wait a little more agonizing. lol

So I have only had Snoop, formerly known as "Black", for on night. I think it went very well. He walked right in and seemed to be at home playing with all the toys. We are crate training him with the crate in our room next to our bed. The first night, we showed him the crate with some toys, blankets, etc... and let him walk in and settle in chewing on a toy before we closed the door. I thought he was ok, but he started to cry for a bit once the lights were off. We didn't want to coddle him, so we let him cry for a bit. After what felt like hours to me, but in reality was probably 5 mins, he went to sleep. At around 6 a.m. he woke up to let us know he had to go to the bathroom. So I got up and carried him to the grass where he did his business pretty quickly. At this point we were up, so we played fetch for a bit, then he went down for a little nap.

Castle (formerly white) has done great adjusting so far! Pleased to report zero accidents in the house and he is playing well with my parents 6 month old dobie. However, I found out last night that he has a good set of lungs as I put him in his crate for the night. It probably wouldn't have been as bad if it wasn't for my parents dobie barking every time he whined haha. Couldn't be happier though!!!

I have blue now known as 'Baron.' I was happy to see that he was ready to play with my female Doberman and they entertained one another for awhile on the first night. Baron's crate is in my bedroom at the foot of my bed. Last night he walked in when I showed him some toys. He only whined for about three minutes and slept soundly all night until about 5 am. I took him outside and he immediately went potty. He knows to go potty when we go outside. He is so smart, and I'm already training him to sit. I love him! =)
