Crate Training 101....

Girl offered up the obligitory fit when asked to spend her first night in the, "uh... you got to be kidding me" crate last night! It actually went pretty smoothly. She cried and or bellowed for about 10-15 minutes all the while pawing and biting at her confines. In the end she settled in and to my amazement slept through the night all the way to 8:30 this morning. A great start I must say. I guess it wasn't too tramatic for her as she willingly went in her open door crate as I enjoyed my coffee and caught up on the news in bed this morning. Naturally she would rather have been on the bed with with me but it will be a while before her legs grow to the length required to catapult herself up. For now, my bed is my sanctuary. :-)

She is so cute! Khaleesi doesn't seem to mind her crate too much either.. she's doing well!

Good to hear! Girl still put up a little stink last night but just a few whines and whimpers lasting about 5 minutes. Slept through the night again. I woke up around 6:30... so far she hasn't woken me before I was ready. Sleeping in a little and feel like I'm starting to catch up on some needed rest. Girl's a pretty easy pup so far. Settling into the routine...This morning she went in her open door crate to play with her toys while I enjoyed my coffee. Probably helps that her crate and blankets are warmer than the floor. A little chilly in this old house again this morning.

Bucca did not take to his crate, he whined for so long he broke us, lol, so he got to sleep with us. His vet visit went great, he now weighs 25 lbs. I have some pics on my face book page but still can't attach to your page. I have knick named him the hell boy as he is teething on everyone and everything, we are enjoying him.

Ok Joe and Ellie. Pup One: J&E Zero! But ... they make good bed partners as long as you don't mind being pushed into the corners. I'm once again enjoying company as my own dogs, with the room clear of pups, are again rotating nights with me. It gives me undivided time with each of them... even if it's for the most part spent sleeping they seem to enjoy spending the night on the bed when their turn rolls around.
