On the opposite end of the spectrum regarding photos, I've thoroughly enjoyed many updates of both Remi with her boys and Darby with the grandkids. I've had an opportunity too to watch one of the pups, KatieScarlett, grow and excel under the care of my now good friends Sharon and Jared. Sharon and I have attended several classes together and it seems she has left me in the dust with her involvement in Rally. Just last week Katie qualified to enter Nationals for her efforts in Rally Novice A. She and Sharon won the first two shows they entered setting them well on their way. And Katie gained her 1st Title and a fancy ribbon on show number four!!! It's been a joy to watch her mature and a delight to get out and about with the family as a whole. Katie's a great dog and very much Sharon's pride and joy and my girl Remedy's very best gal pal!
Sad to say, although things worked out well in the end, not all pups were originally placed as well. Of the litter, one come back at about 9 months of age. Maybe just not a good fit, maybe (probably) just too little time to spend with a pup... In any event I welcomed a dog of many names, and a few problems back to the safety of his birthplace. First going by "Silver", my name for him, then being given the name Xen which I liked, it was decided he didn't like his name and he became Jobe instead. Upon his return Jobe stayed with me for a couple months and in an effort to get reacquainted with him and work on some behavioral issues we enrolled in and completed a basic obedience class together. And like clockwork a call came. And finally, the dog of many names found yet another and Jobe became forever Toby. With Sue and Cathy Toby met his match! He found love but with it was also given boundaries and limits and some rules to live by... and he thrives! I'm happy to report that in my heart of hearts I couldn't have shopped for a better home for him.
I want to acknowledge some really great pups and equally great owners and to wish each a very happy canine birthday! May there and many many more! And cake... lots and lots of cake!
The slideshow above is a sampling, in no particular order, of the photos I've received or found or taken over the course of the past two years. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I did.
