So today marked the day of our first family outing and we came home a few ounces lighter- shy only of 12 sets of declaws and length of tail. Pups tolerated their procedure well. I took Getka more for her sanity than for any other purpose. Not sure who's most happy to be home- Getka, the pups or myself. Probably all... maybe equally. I think Getka though, was pretty happy to see her whelping box, now turned pup corral. Todays adventure likely served to solidify, in her mind, the box as a good home base! I've had no further episodes of her taking any of her pups outside it's walls so I think we're safe as far as that goes. I picked up a can of Esbilac and a couple syringes and will start to give Irish some supplemental feedings tomorrow. He's hanging in there though. Doing good. He's even gaining some fullness to his belly as are his litter-mates.
