Wow! What a storm. With Skye still out to be bred, I was beginning to wonder if we were going to have to put things off. The last thing I want to do is saddle anyone with extra responsibilities in the face of a natural disaster. I also like to have my everything in one place and in my care when I'm facing one. Hurricanes can't be taken lightly, especially when considering the care and safety of those who depend on us to keep them safe. I've been watching the weather closely and while there was a time I thought I might have to pull Skye early, the forecast tracts are progressively calling for an earlier rather than later shift to the north. Good news for North Central Florida! Pretty good news for all of Florida I think. I'm anticipating ovulation day to be basically the same day the storm hits our region regardless of the path it takes. Hopefully the weather will be somewhat tame. Not sure how eager to breed our future parents would be under conditions of rattling windows and pounding rain. I remain hopeful for a successful mating and will coin the litter, assuming we have one, "The Irma Litter" Fingers and toes are crossed for luck!
