Took Rem to the Vet today, more for the outing than to see the Vet. I needed to pick up her last puppy booster and decided a trip to the Vet without being poked and prodded would be good for her. I took advantage of the scale they have in the waiting room too. Remedy's official weight 27 pounds @ fourteen weeks and a few days! Man where does the time go!

Remedy had her first experience accepting servicemen in the house today; namely a plummer. Maybe all those loads of puppy bedding took their toll on the line leading from the washing machine to the septic. Anyway, regarding Rem, her response to a stranger in the house was perfect! She's not yet aware her job is to defend and protect so there was not a peep out of her. She watched the goings ons with interest and showed absolutely no fear! Good Girl Remedy! She enjoyed a break from her post and tape today too and her ears are standing beautifully. She's pictured here in all her glory, cob webs and Afghan hair included. It didn't help that she did a face plant right before her photo shoot either. She's a dirty girl but she's my dirty girl and I love her. Wrapping up the year by Broadening our Horizons. Spur of the moment decision led us to Macon Georgia.
Our trip to Macon was the first of many we'll take together over the upcoming years. Remedy was a great traveling companion though in the photo above I think she was showing her displeasure at the tunes I chose. Plans for the future; Ravine Gardens to see the blooming Azaleas and enjoy a hike fit for a dog; St Augustine for a some socialization to a city with lots of foot traffic, and the beach! I for one, find myself looking forward to the arrival of Spring! Already! Having a hard time getting anything accomplished... I think I missed my calling. It seems all I want to do is play with puppies.... or train the big ones or just hang out with 'em. Remedy is growin' like a weed. Today we worked, or more appropriately played on fetch. She loves her JW Hol-ee ball! She'll run for it and bring it back... and then run past me. Must work on the run past part.
A prime example of the reason puppies aren't left unsupervised for more than about 30 seconds! Plan to fill in the holes.... once again; just not enough time in a day!
I'm just beginning to see some real changes occur within the litter. The pups are gaining strength daily, are just beginning to sit up and their eyes are in various stages of opening. They continue to sleep for the most part unless they're feeding but I decided, being that I had some extra time on my hands, today would be a good day to open and publish each pups individual page. White Male is the star of the show as he was the only pup who sat up long enough to have his picture taken. The individual pup pages can be found under the September 2014 litter tab and will be added to as the pups grow and change as I have done with the previous litters.
Weights are once again taken and posted, nails clipped for the first time and new collars are made and fitted. In weighing the pups it becomes evident, as I suspected, that Purple is falling behind in growth and weight and warrants keeping a close eye on.

AuthorA decision is made! I've had a chance to see several of Lexi's pups from previous litters and must say I'm impressed. Not only by their looks but by the reports I receive from ecstatic owners. Together Navigator and Lexi have produced some outstanding dogs! Dogs with awesome temperaments, dogs that are great with kids and dogs that turn heads! Exactly the traits that I strive for. I didn't want to pass up an opportuniy to have for myself one such pup! So, with Lexi's 3rd litter, the result of a repeat breeding between Navigator Betelges and Lovely Alexus, the time has come.
