Admittedly I don't answer all... "How much is that doggie in the window" emails typically get tossed. Or I answer them as curtly as they are asked.
But this one... this one I liked. Will call tomorrow. Even though I don't have pups at the moment, some are willing to wait. Just as I wait for just the right pup pals.... The perfect pup parents. Whether it begins with a phone call or an email.... It's a process!
Hi,
We are a family of 4, very interested in adding a Doberman puppy/young adult to our family.
My name is Aleksandra.
I’ve been looking for a few weeks now, doing lots of research and run into your website last night! Nothing could beat the positive vibes that I got from reading through your website! It simply sucked me in and I didn’t want it to end. Your Dobermans are amazing and the way you care for them and interact with people, while trying to find the best homes for your puppies, touched my heart.
I decided to follow my instinct and reach out to you. Do you happen to have any puppies or young adults for sale? I am looking for a black/rust most likely female, large bone with your Getka’s temperament, not too hyper, but rather mellow and brave.
Please kindly get back with me, when you get a chance. If you prefer to call me, my number is 407-***-****.
Thank you. Many blessings.

December 2019: From Marnie regarding Exodus: And Mom...
Hey Deb just wanted to give you a heads up. My Mother will be calling you in the next cpl days to discuss putting a deposit down to get on the reservation list for Galtero and Getka spring litter. She is so impressed with Exodus! And just your operation in general. So if you see a New Hampshire number that is her. Her name is Sara. She has been a professional dog groomer for 20 something years. Anyway you two will talk I explained the process but I'm sure she will have more questions.
And From March 2020:
Took this today in our new backyard. Scarlett is the one loving on X. I thought he was going to be my dog but turns out he's Scarlett's dog. They are inseparable.

Regarding Bambi
Hi Debbie!
Bambi has been such a great dog! We love her so much! She's such a big baby lol. She is so gentle and so smart and such a guber and loves to play and snuggle. We haven't had a single issue with her, behavior wise or healthwise. Shes doing great at the dog park with other dogs too! She's especially cute when shes sleeping so we have a lot of pictures of her asleep haha. She loves being wrapped up in her special blanket :) She's 80 pounds now and has been for a while so I think she's done growing?

Received 1/19/18 from Arelys as comment on my litter specific blog post...
Well today is 1-19-18, and I wanted to post here because I wanted it to be available to all new potential puppy parents out there. I have always wanted a pet dog. For many reasons my husband and I held off getting one. But I think we were just waiting for the perfect pup to come along. Then I started to follow Debi and her dobie family...and something clicked for me. We thought it over and over and then decided yes let's do it, then we missed it...but it was because this beautiful bundle of puppy fur we lovingly call Rocky was out there coming for us...we had no clue what to expect and still don't lol...but with such great guidance that Debi has given us throughout this time, it has been unbelievable. Everyday there is something new...something funny, something just wonderful. Not all rainbows and butterflies but lots and lots of smiles! Debi your care and knowledge and love of Rocky was so engraved in him that he can't help but be such great additions to our family. He is so much more then a pet to us. He truly is a part of our family. So again, thank you for everything, for taking such great care of our boy!!! And although my knowledge of breeders is extremely limited to you, I have no doubt in my mind or heart that you do this more out of love. That is worth so much more!!! I hope that anyone out there looking to expand their families with a puppy, find someone like you to guide them.

by Simone just prior to picking up her pup Scrambles!
Also worth mentioning
Simone caught wind of a "litter specific"
facebook group created for a previous litter by one of it's puppy parents.
Liking the idea, she took it upon herself, with a little help from yours truly, to create yet another "litter specific" Facebook group.
While I've got my own GMBD's facebook page, I've found these smaller groups to be a lot of fun for pup parents and a valuable resource for them as well.
In addition, as a member of each they also allow me keep up with my pups on a day to day basis when they're young and to offer insight and guidance if and when requested going forward.
A win win for all.
Update on Scrambles!
March 11th 2018-
Age Four Months... Two Months Of Work! Incredible!!!
Sometimes you just know a pup is headed to home with loving and caring people who hold high expectations.
Scrambles was one of those pups so the update doesn't surprise me in the least. Great job with her Max and Simone! I'll let the front seat slide. for now. :-)

Just checking in! Scrambles gets more and more beautiful every day. In a controlled environment (the living room) she will hold a stay for more than 5 minutes, sit, stay, down, left paw, right paw, “take it” (won’t take a treat until we say take it, even if we hold it under her nose. We practice training out in public and busy areas but keep it shorter and simpler so it’s still fun, or she just looses focus quickly. She rings the bell when she needs to go out to potty and uses her pee pad if we aren’t home. Her loose lead walking is incredible, until distractions appear (another dog, kids etc.) at which point she wants to pull and we just stand still until she backs up. She is no longer afraid of new dogs and new people. She very rarely jumps up on Max and I when she sees us-she knows she has to sit to be greeted. When she meets new people if they don’t acknowledge her she sits to get their attention. We are still working on her never jumping up -strangers and some friends pet her when she jumps so it’s taking a little longer. We are also working on “drop it” but she is getting good at “Leave it”. We haven’t had to train her with kids, she is just a natural gentle giant. She is high energy but every one is already so impressed with her intelligence and demeanor.

From Brandon regarding his girl Kona! -Nine months of age.
Hi Debbie!
Hope all is well and sorry for not emailing or texting lately, been busy with some travel for work but wanted to share a few pics with Kona and let you know she is doing awesome as can be!
Growing like a weed she is almost 60 lbs, ears look great and we're doing tip posts now but I've had them off for the last few days so I could clean out her ears a bit. I get compliments every time I walk her and everyone says she is so beautiful When I drive she likes to stick her head out the sunroof at times and I need to set up my gopro and get some video of her doing it, she seems to try and gulp air when her head is out the window it's hilarious. $0.99 frisbees are one of her favorite toys that don't turn to shreds after 10-15 minutes. I bought a stack of them and one ended up on the roof so I need to get up there and knock it down one of these days.
I've been following the puppies on the site and they look absolutely adorable! As much as I want another so Kona has a companion that is a few years out I think lol. She certainly keeps me busy and any time I have to leave she has such a sad face it makes it hard to go anywhere! We have play dates with a friend and her lab/pit mix who is one month older than Kona and 20lbs heavier but short/stocky. They end up soaked in slobber and Kona definitely holds her own and makes me proud!
You'll see in one of the pics she likes to wait until I jump out of bed or go to the bathroom and then she goes right to where I lay by the pillows and curls up like a sack of potatoes, if I try to move she gnaws on my hand and then flops half on me half on bed lol.
Well I wrote more than I thought I would, hope you have a great week and a fun time picking out puppies with the new owners!
Thanks again I can't thank you enough over and over!!!

From Lindsey: Day number two with her pup Hallie!
A Really Sweet E-mail....
Hi Debi ... here is an update from Hallie!
Hi 1st mom! Just checking in. Things are pretty great here. I slept a lot the 1st day. And I cried a lot the 1st night away from you & my pack. But I'm getting the hang of things now. I've been helping my new mom rearrange the house a bit. Clearly the bathroom rug looks better in the hallway but mom keeps moving it back. I have several toys that I play with but my favorite are socks ... especially while mom's feet are still in them. Lol ... its our new game. Another favorite game I play is posing really pretty for the camera and then moving right when mom takes the picture. She has no idea how you took such amazing pictures for the web. And i keep her guessing. We are keeping up with my meds and aftercare, and if I do good i get a treat! Miss you and my brothers & sisters. So stay in touch and we will do the same. Here are a few pictures of my shenanigans that keeps mom laughing. Will check in again soon!

Hi Debi,
Sending you few pictures of growing Diesel. He is one funny pup. The other day he got busted standing on the table on the patio. Hahaha. Little rebel he is.
He is also a thief. Steeling everything that he can get his eyes on. Socks, makeup brushes, my purse, mail.... The other day I was looking for my hairbrush, I found it in the backyard. The good thing is, he does not destroy anything. He just takes it and runs. He didn't chewed up anything, ever!! Not even his toys. He still have his fluffy toys since he was baby.
We are still doing our STAR puppy class. We still have 3 weeks to go. But he also started Beginner Novice on Tuesday. Last week, I was asking our instructor what is the next level of classes, that I want to sign up. And she told us we are skipping the next level because we would be bored. At the desk, I met the instructor for Beginner Novice and we came to see him next day for evaluation. He told us we can start right away and don't have to wait for the end of the puppy class. Way to go Diesel!
The day when we came back for evaluation, the instructor was testing the Good Canine Citizen. We were used as distractions on one of the steps. That was fun.
We had out first class on Tuesday. Diesel is doing good but I think he is still too much of a puppy for this class. He knows the commands but he gets distracted quite a bit. Like playing with cones that are used as marks, licking dried peanut butter of the floor, trying to get into crate where the instructor has his dog etc.....It's also bit challenging for me. First of all, it's starting to be really formal. All of this is new to me. Than Diesel just bouncing around instead of just sitting next to me. We heel, I stop, he sits but gets up in 5 seconds to paw the orange cone. Lol. There is one other pup that I think is younger but Diesel is by far the youngest there. The instructor is really nice and helps me a lot.
We practice at home and in the park and he is doing great. Our goal now is to pass the Good Canine Citizen test. I think we will try at the end of this class. Diesel will be 6 months old. Hopefully he will concentrate on me little more.
He also enjoys our outings with his Dober buddy. They play so well together.
I found out he plays the best with other Dobermans. I wasn't sure before but now I'm pretty positive that they recognize each other as the same breed. Every time there is other Dobie, they just stick together. All play with other dogs stops and the Dobermans are playing together.
Diesel also enjoys to run with his human mama. He thinks his human mama is a Kenyan though. He trots and I'm huffing and puffing behind him. Lol. I have him trotting on the grass or on the horse trail in our neighborhood. I bought running leash for us. It's buckled around my waist and I'm hands free. The first time we used it it was more of tug of war before he realized we are connected differently. Now, it's a breeze. Also when we run, he doesn't get distracted. There are other dogs who pull on their leashes when we pass and he just goes. Bikes, roller blades, horses, other dogs.....nothing!! He is like a machine. I'm so proud of him. Since he is a working dog, he probably thinks it's his job and he is in the zone. Except occasional squirrel. That we have to work on. Because pretty soon I'll be flying into the bushes after him and the squirrel. The leash is around my waist and I can't let go. Lol
Now, when I talk about it. Twice, he got away from me in the park. No cars or any other danger. On regular leash. He pulled, I pulled, leash went flying, Diesel running away from me. Ones after a squirrel and ones he was pulling to get to the doggy park. Both times when I called "Diesel come" in a split second he stopped, turned, found out he is away from me, ran straight back to me. I was more to him than a squirrel or doggy park.
Alrighty, have a good evening and we will keep you posted.
Give hugs and kisses to your gang from us.
Jana & Diesel

Hi Momma Deb,
It's Dallas aka "Crazy Man." I got my nickname from my new mommy. I go zero to one hundred real quick. I sleep hard and then wake and turn into a Tasmanian devil:). I am a mama's boy. We cuddle often and I follow her around the most. But, I will follow dad too. I like to play with my stuffed friend lamb a lot. The squeaky noise he makes never ceases to amaze me. I'm learning how to sit and have not had an accident today:) I've also mastered the stairs and how to sneak into the closet and chew on Dad's shoes or steal mom's clothes. My parents make a big stink about it then, eventually laugh about it because I am so charming. Mom says I'm too smart for my own good. My first doctors appointment went well. Mom had a heart attack watching me get my sitches out. This past week she and dad posted my ears. It took a couple of tries but I think they are getting the hang of it. I'm excited because today is a tape free day so I thought it would be nice to show them off (pictures attached). Well, it's time for me to go on my long walk. I'll talk to you soon.
Happy Holidays,

The First Two Weeks!
Had Me Giggling!

Hi Debi,
It's been little over two weeks since Diesel joined our family and it's been a blast. He is little rebel but he is so smart and funny. He definitely made himself at home and he knows he is ours and we are his.
He had his second set of vaccines last week as well his stitches removed and ears posted. Little deer I call him. At the vet office everyone loves him. He is so good there. Even the doctor is amazed how good he behaves while we are there. Doctor doesn't know that I have treats and reward him for good behavior. Lol. That's part of our training at home. Good behavior gets rewarded and bad one gets ignored and no cookie.
As far as obedience and tricks goes he excel in everything. We have this book with 50 puppy tricks and he knows about half of it already. First, I thought we only gonna do basic commands and stick with that until he goes to puppy class but he gets everything so quickly that we just adding tricks and commands. We practice every day in short sessions and also apply it through out the day. Like "sit" before meal or "come" when he runs off somewhere where I can't see him. Yesterday we started on "leave it" command. He walks nice on the leash. We practice twice a day in the back yard. But we do fun stuff like "spin, shake, roll over". Spin is his favorite.
He also likes to be outside. A lot. I think he would be happiest if we would just build a tent in the back yard and live there. We do not let him out of our sight so we are getting nice tan. Lol
We found out he likes water. He needed a bath last week because he got himself so dirty. We didn't know what to expect when we put him in the tub but to our amazement he started playing and blowing bubbles in the water. (Of course we had treats and rewarded him for being such a good and brave boy.) Same goes for garden hose. The biggest fun. So I got him little doggie pool to splash around. I'll post video on FB soon. And I thought Dobes don't care for water much. Well, not Diesel. He is a water dog.
Gucci is getting better with him but still doesn't care for him much. Poor Diesel wants to play and Gucci doesn't. Same goes for my moms dog. They are both old and don't want to deal with a puppy. But I guess it's a good lesson for Diesel that he will know that not every dog will wanna play. And it's just better to leave them alone. That said I'm excited to go to a puppy class so Diesel gets a play time with puppies his age and his size.
So that about sums up our first two weeks.
I'll keep in touch. And when Diesel get bigger we will come visit.
I hope you and all your babies are doing ok. Give kisses and hugs to all of them from us.

Speaking of his dog Fiona; Formerly "Gray" (Navigator x Lexi's August 3rd 2013 litter) : Age 2 Years, 3 Months
I’d like to take some time to talk about my family’s Doberman, Fiona. A few years ago, we moved to Florida, and decided that we wanted a dog to be our friend and companion, but also to watch over and protect our home while I was at work and my wife was home alone. We decided that a Doberman was the dog for us after spending a great deal of time researching the different breeds that could fit our needs, and ended up getting in touch with Debi Cruz of Got My Back Dobermans. I’m going to share a few stories here about our girl that I feel really represent how important, and honestly, irreplaceable she is for our family. Originally, I had my heart set on the biggest male we could find, expecting that it would be important to have a huge dog to deter anyone we didn’t want hanging around. But as soon as we got to Debi’s home, the smallest little girl in the litter walked up and jumped into my lap, and it was game over. She may have seemed tiny at the time, but she has grown into a perfect specimen, very athletic, and around 70lbs of lean muscle. She is the most intelligent dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, she seems very intuitive, and reads our emotions and state of mind phenomenally when she is assessing situations. She is an absolute sweetheart with us, and all of our friends, and has never shown an inkling of aggression to anyone we have introduced her to. She is also wonderful with children of all sizes, and will tone down her play to be so much gentler with them than she needs to be when she plays in the yard with adults. She absolutely adores our 6 month old son, Finnegan, and greets him with a big kiss every time she sees him. She is also very playful with our cats, though the cats themselves are not too keen on playing with her generally. While she is loving and gentle with our family, however, her nature as a guardian and protector is by no means reduced. On several occasions she has proved herself an indispensable asset to our safety, in addition to being a member of our family. We didn’t live in the most pleasant neighborhood in South Miami, and periodically, my wife Brianna would be harassed or followed if she was out walking. However, the incidents of this occurring all but disappeared as soon as she was walking with Fiona. The one time someone pulled up in a car and started to act inappropriately, and made my wife very uncomfortable and nervous, Fiona immediately transformed from her normal happy go lucky self, and went into defense mode. She placed herself between Brianna and the men in the car, pinned her ears back, and stared them down, and without so much as a growl, she managed to intimidate them sufficiently to drive off and leave her alone. We have since moved to New England, where we are surrounded by more bears, coyotes, and the occasional mountain lion than people, but Fiona still provides us with a great deal of peace of mind. She often raises the alarm when a bear approaches the house, and does a great job of driving them away from the house, giving us a chance to lock up our livestock. She’ll accompany us on walks through the woods, and recently while my wife walked through the yard after dark, Fiona heard the noise of something large moving through the trees 10 yards or so away. She immediately bolted to Brianna’s side, placed herself between her and the unknown creature in the woods, and began to growl. As Brianna walked back towards the house, Fiona maintained her position at Bri’s feet, sidestepping to ensure she was always facing the threat, and next to Bri. She was no longer concerned at this point, due to Fiona’s presence, and decided to do a bit of an experiment…she moved around the yard a bit, forwards, backwards, and to the sides, and at no point did Fiona stray from her even a foot. This type of guardian work is actually something I’ve seen before only in dogs trained extensively for protection work and military service, but it just comes naturally to Fiona. Fiona has never had any protection training, her training has been limited to standard obedience commands, manners, and house rules, but she has demonstrated an incredible, innate sense of what to do in the presence of a threat. We could never hope to have a better dog than what we have found in her for so many reasons, as our friend, running partner, loyal foot warmer, and obviously also as a protector or our home. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for us, and I’m happy to say that we would do anything for her as well. I honestly cannot thank Debi Cruz enough for introducing us.

From Chris Madden:
June 24th: I received by email today from Katy regarding her pup Xena.
Thank you Katy for the kind words and thanks go to Rick for caring. Big thanks for the update too!
Deb, there are not words to describe how perfect Xena Warrior Princess is. She has been with us for 5 days. She actually goes to the door and knocks when she needs to go out. She loves her crate and no longer cries when the lights go out. Her crate is in the kitchen and our bedroom is upstairs. The first 3 nights Rick slept on the kitchen floor next to her. After that she goes right to sleep and sleeps all night. She and the kitten have become best buds and play all day. You are an excellent breeder and we are so glad we found you. Thank you. Katy M.

Yay! I love it when I get immediate updates on the pups! This one from Julie regarding her purple collared pup Raven who by the looks of things has her people wrapped well around her fat little paw. I wonder if she'll ever see the inside of that brand new crate purchased especially for her :) And yes, I do believe in crate training Doberkids...
"At home in purple, lol!! Raven did fabulous on the drive home. We stopped to get the fertilizer and let her out to pee, which she did right away. And she slept the rest of the way. She's not too sure about my dominant
Havanese dog, but they are all working it out slowly. Love her :)"

Hi Deb,
Just checking in, letting you know that life is good inTampa. Made it up to Wildwood for my second re-tape and the Vet said my ears look fantastic. Im up to 21lbs. and feeling great...lots of energy. I'm sleeping great in my crate, and I'm getting close to being house broken. I've been given plenty of love in my forever home and have met the neighboring pets and kids. Have a great Christmas, I'll check in after the Holidays!

An E-mail from Matt who sounds to be doing everything right......
Deb,
Yesterday went smoother than I ever could of imagined. We've had one mess in the house and that was our fault. Instead of taking her to the back yard first we plopped Scout down in the living room and....oops! learned our lesson on that one. We're 9 for 10 of going to the bathroom outside after that. She eats slow, which I like. She's very respectful and gentle with my older min pins, we'll see how long that lasts. But the most amazing part of the night was the crate. We tried to entice Scout to go into her crate, which is next to our bed, with her blue toy from your house and treats. She didn't seem to keen on it first, so we just sat back and watched. She tried one attempt to get on the bed but pushed her down right away and she got the message. That one broke Jamie's heart. We just let her explore our room for a little while till she was comfortable. We have full size sliding mirrors for closet doors, she was intrigued by her reflection in them. At one point she ran into one trying to play with her reflection. After about 5 minutes of this she just walked into her crate and laid down without any noise. I waited for her to drift off to sleep and I closed the crate. She woke up when I started to close it and looked at me. This is where I waited for the crying to start. There was not a peep out of Scout the whole night. Just the occasion conehead knocking on the side of the crate. You've done an amazing job with these pups. Can't thank you enough Deb. A Couple of photos are attached. I'll keep the pics coming as she grows.
Matt
And when asked If I could use his words on my testimonial page.........

From Wendy... A little over a week into things with Knox:
Update on Knox...tell me when you are tired of hearing how awesome he is!!
Debi,
Knox is so super cute!!!! From rubbing his back/butt (which I remember our last Dobie loving) and seeing his little nub tail go off to the left, to finding his tickle spot that makes his legs and tongue go crazy, he is our puppy! He slept with my son two nights in a row but ended up trying to sleep on Roy’s head so we had the human boy in our bed early in the morn but Knox stayed in Roy’s bed. Slept fine with Alexandra last night. Crate training in the morning, when we had to drop kids off at school, was not good for 2 morn’s as we had to stuff him in a too small crate. We finally got the large crate out of garage and Knox loves it!!! Another successful walk this morn even tho he does want to flop. He kind of got stuck under the couch trying to get to the little dog..had to save him. I’m feeling like we should have a second syllable in his name so now he’s kind of Knoxey. Both dog’s play like crazy…again a little love and a little irritation. They do nap together now too. We are all so in love with him. Have call in to local puppy playdate so we’ll see. Have had a bunch of people come over to love on Knox and he’s so cool with everyone.. especially kids. Let us know how Remedy is doing. Hubby is in love with him but wants to name him “Knox No-biting”.
Keep updates going!

And later about her pup Baron:
Hi Deb,
Just dropping you a note to let you know Baron is doing great! He is quickly learning to go outside to potty. He is not overly found of going in his crate but once inside he settles right down and plays with his toys.
I have his crate at the foot of me bed and he is an early riser. LOL One morning he started at 5 am with his squeaky toy...I had to laugh as it was quite funny. He is already learning somewhat what sit means and that he will get a treat if he does it. This boy is SMART. =) Penny loves him and they will play and chase one another around the ottoman in the den and it's comical. Looks like a game of musical chairs.
He is a total busy body.....and gets even rowdier when he is sleepy and then he will just drop and sleep. He certainly keeps me on my toes watching him..lol
Baron is adjusting well to the new food and seems to like it alot. I mix half and half of old and new right now.
I meant to ask since the 30th falls on a Sunday should I wait until the following Monday to make his appointment to have the stitches out?
I have sent you some photos. Trying to catch him being still is next to impossible right now. lol
Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Love reading all the blog entries. Purple's story was wonderful!! =)
Thanks again!

Kids and Doberman Pups??? A Perfect Combination!!!
Starring
Remi Nicolas and Noah
It is quite apparent to me in reading Nicole's notes and seeing photos of Remi and her boys that this pup has brought lots of joy to this family and in return she's getting everything she needs to be a well balanced and socialized Doberman!
Hey Deb!
Hope you are doing well! We are all doing great! Remi is fantastic! We've still been seeing Dr McBride for the re-wraps. Ears are looking good! Boys are having some much fun with her. She's constantly chasing a ball or frisbee with them! She's very attentive to the boys, always checking to see where they are! I love that! :) She's also very good about doing her tricks for them! They get her to sit, shake, and down on command. We are working on stay and speak with her. She's such a good girl we love her so much!

Sweet Pepper @ One
Alice: Age One
Persephone: a.k.a. "Black" a.k.a. "Patch"
Hello!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Persey had a great day. We had thrown a baby shower that afternoon so she got lots and lots of attention. She weighs a whopping 75lbs right now and is still fairly thin. We expect her to weigh more once she fills out. She is doing very well. Her ears turned out AMAZING. We get so many compliments. She is very willful and continues to be a challenge to train. She thinks she is a people and needs to be in the middle of everything we do. She is absolutely one of the family. She loves to go for car rides and go to the park. She also has an instagram and you can follow her at perseybeautifulblackmenace. |
Scarlett Update: Age One August 3rd '14
Hello Debi! So good to hear from you. Yes we celebrated Scarlett’s Birthday in style of course! She is a beautiful dog with a wonderful temperament and she is spoiled rotten to the core. She is 74 lbs about 26 inches tall and healthy as a horse. We had her spayed and placed a microchip at about 6 months old. She lives in the house with us….or should I say we live in the house with her.. hahaha. She stays in her crate when we leave. Her crate is her bed and safe place unless its lightning and then she sleeps in our bed. She loves water..she loves the beach and she catches a frisbee! I never knew Dobermans were good frisbee catchers. My son worked and worked with her until she got it and now its a challenge to her. She actually jumps high for it.We have kept up with your website and have enjoyed watching your litters. I like the blog. I noticed you had another Scarlett….Katie Scarlett. They were of course gorgeous puppies. I have had many people ask me where I got her from and I always give your website with Praise! Our vet just adores her and loves her temperament. We want another one…but I always remember what you said about waiting til the dog bonds with us first. So you may see our name on one of your lists soon. Hope you and Lexi and all are well!
I have attached some photos..one is Scarlett in her own kiddie pool that she loves, and the other is her on the couch with a KONG toy that she completely destroyed.
Scarlett is MORE than we hoped she would be!
take care

Xypher Update May 29th
Hi Deb!
Just wanted to give you a picture update of Xypher, he's doing great by the way! I love spending all my time with him and holy crap is he smart already... He already faked sick with Bobbi the other night so she would call me and I would come home, as soon as I got home he was fine and wanted to play with me! I have us signed up for the AKC star puppy class and can't wait for that. He met the other adult doberman in our complex the other day and scared him with his aggressive licking, it was hilarious, he is the sweetest dog.
Thank you so much for such a beautiful boy!

Remi: May 1st
Ok, so we just LOVE this little girl! She's currently napping in the crate. She's been staying right with the boys! Anywhere they go, she goes too! She fits in perfectly!
I'll be sending you some pictures soon! :)

I'll be sending you some pictures soon! :)
Nicole
Hi! He's back napping,so I can send an update. Xen is terrific! You started him so well there hasn't been much for me to do except let him know where the toys, food and door to outside are. He's very respectful of Jack and Louis and their space (thanks to the Afghans,I'm guessing) and in return Jack is letting him crawl all over his beds and play with all his toys. You were right,he's super affectionate and very sweet. So far he really loves his elk antler, TV ,and the newer of two rugs by the back sliders. He's all Dobie-he wants what he wants. He has so far given a big screaming no to the outdoor pen and the larger indoor crates. I think he'll change his mind about the larger crates as he grows, and for now he can have what he wants (the crate he rode home in) to sleep in at night. He has quite a set of lungs when he's displeased with something. :) The funny thing is, there is already a noticeable difference in the sound of "I really hate this and I'm going to shriek until one of us can't take it anymore" and "Eh, this is ok,but I feel like I should yell a little since it wasn't my idea". He walks on a leash like a pro-that's our nighttime compromise since he screams like the pen is full of boiling oil!
I don't think I've ever had a puppy that was so ready to move right in. All the time you spend with them really shows in his confidence and generally willing attitude, not to mention his "love sponge" personality. He is the perfect puppy for me and my other pets-I seriously could not be more thrilled with him. Here's a few pictures-not great, but the best I could get so far! I'll send more and keep you updated as he settles in. Thank you so much,he's wonderful!!! Jen |

3/28/14 A very thoughtful and appreciated e-mail from Jan
Griffin
Just an update on Mr. Griffin - green male from last litter - he is fabulous! Just shy of eight months, now neutered, 79 pounds, enjoys the crate; it is truly his safe haven. His crate is in our bedroom. We keep the door open all night long and he rarely ventures out. If he does, it is to check on us and then he returns. Such a great boy. He is a gentle giant! So smart, observant, and an ambassador of the breed. We encourage everyone to meet him and take him to lots of community events. The neighbors all know him and call out to us on our daily walks. He has filled the void in our hearts! So BLESSED to have found Got My Back Dobermans and you! Thank you for our beloved Griffin! Jan
Griffin
Just an update on Mr. Griffin - green male from last litter - he is fabulous! Just shy of eight months, now neutered, 79 pounds, enjoys the crate; it is truly his safe haven. The Life Of Alice Age 5 Months
Debbie
Happy new year to you, too.
Alice is doing well. We finished up puppy class and are starting "basic manners" this Saturday. Housebreaking is progressing and she is growing like a weed. She is about 45 lbs and filling out very nicely. Those ears are so expressive. They are a thing of beauty!
During our trip to Atlanta, she adjusted to city dog life - elevators, bribing the doorman for treats, sitting pretty, shaking hands. She will do just about anything for treats. We went to the dog park in Atlanta and she "ran with the big dogs", literally. She is getting so fast and has yet to meet a human or dog who she doesn't think is her new best friend. Loose leash walking is improving substantially. She will master this soon.
Jumping is a still an issue but we are working on it. Her big problem is one of the cats who likes to play but she plays so rough. We are working on that.
We had an issue with ticks - yuck! We started her on the solo star med. The one good thing about this cold weather is that it will kill some of those critters.
Hope all is well with you and your critters. Good luck with all the painting.

Sadie Marie Updates
Posted by Kevin in anticipation of welcoming his pup, Maroon, aka Sadie home! Received 9/13/13 as a "Rating" of GMBD Facebook Page
This breeder is top notch with a true passion for her job and it shows. Her communication is second to none and I can't wait for my new baby girl to come home.
Received as a post to GMBD Facebook page 1/11/13
Sadie Marie is still in tape for two more weeks and moving a bit slower than her siblings. She is at fifty pounds or just a touch shy but what she lacks in size she is smart as hell. Five months old and can sit, lay, and go to her bed on one command. She as wild and will run like a deer but she is an awesome part of our family.
Recieved 2/9/13 from Kevin as a post to GMBD's Facebook page including the photo update below. Sadie at six months a beautiful healthy lil girl. This is the day tape came off.

Fiona aka Grey
Received from Chris as a Facebook Rating to my Doberman Page Got My Back Dobermans October 2013
The photo following is of Fiona a short time later enjoying her first long road trip with the family!
Debi was great to work with through the whole process of bringing home our new little girl, Fiona (grey), and from the beginning it was obvious she cared a great deal for the puppies, because Fiona has been an absolute joy, friendly, well adjusted, and all around everything we could have asked for in a puppy! Thanks again!!
Pepper Dawn
Received an update as a Facebook post from Charley regarding Pepper formerly known as "Brown". Seems Pepper has her own Facebook page... They also named their property, which was acquired about the same time they acquired Pepper, to include a portion of her name. Pepper was the only pup in the litter to leave Florida. She now lives in Texas actively guarding the homestead of "Pepper Dawn Ridge". Pepper is loved and cherished by a Charley and Larry long standing and very good friends of mine so I get regular updates on her. The photo below is just one of my little Texan, Pepper!

Scarlett aka Purple
I received a few photos and an update the very same day Kristen welcomed Scarlett into their hearts and home. As you can see in the photos this pup settled immediately and made herself right at home in her new surroundings. That is my goal and the reason socialization from birth on up is so important.
Kristen sent the photos below individually attaching a quick note for each.
She has done so well! Played and now resting guarding her new home! We just love her soooo much!
This was before she pooped out on porch! Running around yard! She's a true gem! We are so happy!
I think she's pooped out! Such an exciting day!
