 A week or so back I had a request to post some pictures of Lexi as she continued to grow. I declined at the time. I really didn't want to commit to posting photos of my very pregnant dog in her not very attractive state. Well I snapped a few shots today for my own record and decided, "pregnant or not, she's still a beautiful girl'! So here's Lexi, basking in the sun in her very pregnant, simply glowing state!

Got my back Dobermans are the most amazingly regal dogs I have seen, with wonderfully gentle temperments, Lexi looks beautiful in her 'ready to be mum' condition.

Awww, Thanks Ruth. I'll have to agree, Dobermans are definitely a regal breed! I remember several years back telling you I planned to switch my breed from Affies back to Dobermans. You seemed a little unsure of them at the time. I'm glad you've had some first hand experience with my dogs and can now appreciate their personalities and temperaments as well as their "looks". :-)

Thanks Geeg! She's doing well with this pregnancy. Eating better than she did with her 1st. I'm hoping that's why she's so BIG! She did a fantastic job with 12 pups but I think that's enough for any momma dog to have to endure. I goggled the largest litter one day.... not breed specific though. Would you believe 24??? Her BIGNESS is somewhat hidden in this photo. I got one of her trying stand up from a laying position and caught her @ about "sit". It was pretty cute but if it were taken of me, I'm not sure I'd want it posted. Bwahaha....

Is she average size or a lot bigger than they usually get?

She seems pretty big Nick. Every dog and every pregnancy is different though. She's definitely bigger than she was last time. I don't know if that means more pups, bigger pups or just that she's been eating better.. We're getting close though. She just woke me up to get outside. She returned to the whelping pool and has been spending increasingly more time in it each night.

She's big Kristin! Seems to be handling everything really well though. Pacing a bit today and panting off and on. Moving from crate to crate, digging a bit before moving on. She took off to a dug out spot under my gazebo at one point when I let her out today so I'll have to keep an eye on that. Would be hard to get her out of there if she decided that was "the spot".

Thank you for the photo. She looks beautiful! I went camping this weekend and had to check your site when I got back to civilization. I wanted to see any updates over the last three days. Keep the updates coming. We really look forward to them. Thanks a bunch!
