Time Is Drawing Near!

While Lexi's pups continue to kick and squirm preparing for their grand entry, Lexi is starting to demonstrate some efforts to prepare herself.  She spent the bulk of the night in her whelping pool last night.  She asked to get outside only once and immediately returned to the pool.  She had the whelping pad all wadded up in a ball when I woke this morning and has continued to demonstrate some nesting behaviors throughout the day. She's off her food and I'm seeing some intermittent panting and trembling.  I'm not sure she's planning to wait until Tuesday to bring her pups into the world.  So far, Lex has had a textbook pregnancy and I'm hoping that trend continues including a fairly even Male to Female ratio!  My main concern remains however, that all pups are born healthy and that Lex has an easy time of it!  I'm ready to see what she's got and move onto the next step.....
