We are officially at the four week mark... nearly half way there!
I've scheduled a couple appointments to get the ball rolling as far as selections go. Jennifer plans to visit Friday August 23rd to choose her boy and Lisa, Saturday August 24th to set claim to her girl. I can probably fit in a few more meet and greets for that weekend and will be working my way down the list tomorrow in an attempt to set something up with a few of you. I'll continue down the list until I reach a roadblock. The remainder of the week and following weekend will be available as well so I anticipate no problems getting everyone out here and the selection process complete prior to our cropping appointments.
I've got a busy day planned tomorrow... In addition to the calls I'll make, there will be another dog food run and hopefully, once those chores are complete, weather permitting of course, I'm going to surprise the pups with their first outdoor adventure. One of my favorite things to do and a day I've patiently waited for. It's always fascinating to watch their response to the real world outside the whelping box and mudroom. They've grown quite comfortable exploring their current confines and have even taken the initiative to play with a couple rope toys that belong to the big kids. Now it's time to push the envelope. And they're ready!!! They're beginning to look to me for some interaction and at times they'll stand up on the whelp box walls in an attempt to see me... or maybe it's an attempt to escape their habitat. lol Eye contact is taking a fairly good hold and it's something I treasure. They're becoming a lot of fun. More sweet and playful by the day! Hopefully by days end tomorrow I'll be proud poster of our first day out and about. Stay tuned.
