I usually don't complain much about it... I actually like the rain. I enjoy what comes with it. The feeling of freshness and the greenery it brings. I even like thunderstorms. But it clearly seems we've gone from greenery and freshness to waterlogged. Ready for a break and so are the pups. I've been trying to do a mom and pup photo series but I'm only about half way through it. For now, here's a a link that I've shared in the past regarding socialization, critical periods and pups. From my experience the stages are fairly accurate and I can't stress enough the importance of socialization. Worth the read I think. She does a good job of outlining the balance between the need for socialization as well as the importance of protecting pups, while not overprotecting, during the time of incomplete immunity from communicable disease.

I know what you mean about the rain. It rains here everyday, but in the afternoon. We at least have the morning up until about 1 pm without rain. I read the article very good information. Thank you.

We've had some breaks here and there but nothing as consistent as routinely nice mornings, Yesterday no breaks in rain at all. Not sure today will bring any either. Hopeful but that's about the extent of it. Glad you liked the article. I think it's on point. Nothing there I don't agree with.

That was a great article on socializing young pups. It makes total sense at the age and why. It sure made a big difference for Phoenix, he very quickly determines with in seconds if he trusts someone or not. I always listen to him, I feel all the early socializing I did with him made him a great judge of character. He has only has 2 people he didn’t like and for good reason.

Yes, lots of exposure and the sooner the better. I recall the first pic you posted of Phoenix in the back seat of the truck heading out for his 1st day on the job. :-) And Zuka heading out for his first boating adventure the day after he arrived in his new home. I always tell people whatever is to be a part of their pups life in the future... make it easy and expose when young.
