A quick update on Jobe and some of what I've been doing... There's never a dull moment around here and that's no joke. Jobe is settling in well though. He gets along, and in general, is gentle with the kittens. He's surprisingly calm and quiet in the house for a youngster and while he postures to play with the adults at times he's respectful if they're not game. We've had a couple issues with the leash where he grabbed hold and acted like he wanted to kill it. All I could think at the time was that I was glad he had hold of the leash and not not my arm. I spent a few days training him to the parameter collar and finally today he was allowed to run within that parameter. He caught on quickly and seems to have a good understanding of how things work. I started a 7 week basic obedience class with him Monday. I had actually planned to enroll Serious in class this round but decided Jobe needed to take priority. He did fairly well but there's definitely room for improvement. First up, work on his attention skills.
Below are a few photos of Jobe's first day unrestrained or otherwise contained. He did remarkably well. Although I prefer the cropped look, he's a good looking boy and I think he'll be stunning when he fills out and the rest of his body catches up with his legs. And tail............
