Still struggling a bit with the weather here between cold and rain but up until yesterday we had three or four really pleasant and for the most part sunny days. A few last week too.
In reviewing and comparing week five to week six photos, some of the pups look like they have changed quite a bit. Some look as though they've little. I think because I've not been able to get their photos done as close to the actual appropriate day as I've been able to in some previous litters. I take them out and get their photos when the weather permits but don't take the pups out in any particular order. So, some that went late last week may have gone early this week. Guess I should pay more attention to order for the purpose of photos when I have to work around weather.
Last week when I had them out I noticed some, especially the girls were looking ribby... Pink and Green specifically. A couple of the boys are looking rather rotund.... kind of as they have all along. Acknowledging this imbalance, I started feeding the boys and girls in separate rooms 5 or 6 days ago and the girls seem to be filling out their frames pretty quickly. Lavender, although smaller than the boys seems to be nearly as plump so I'll have to keep an eye on her. Might have to toss her back in with her brothers during feeding time. All pups seem to be eating well and sticking with it until their bowl is clean. Only thing I can figure is the boys are more aggressive about getting the grub and I think have been getting more than their share. They, the gluttons and the girls the little divas.
I had a nice visit from Rosemary and her hubby over the weekend when they stopped by to meet their girl, Miss Green. Their pup responded well, happy inquisitive and open to meeting her new family. She played and played for well over an hour and showed no evidence of even beginning to slow down. Their stamina is definitely increasing.
Selections have begun... Sunday Twittie and his other half will come and be subjected to having to choose between the Red and Rust Boys. And Monday Gladys and her husband will come to select one of the Black and Rust's. I'm still having difficulty making my choice. It's never easy it seems!
Hope everyone is well and getting prepared for incoming. :-)
