For those of you who saw and responded to my last post...thank you for your thoughts and comments. I'm back home with Blue and as I suspected she would, the Vet prescribed a round of antibiotics. Hopefully that'll be the end of his course of treatment and he'll experience a quick recovery and get back to the business of gaining weight. For now I've got an alarm set for 5a and 5p so I don't miss any doses. Will also be assuring some solo nursing time to help him out while he's a bit under the weather. He's still acting normal... doesn't look skinny or dehydrated and fortunately the Vet saw nothing other than his elbow that caused her pause. His mobility seems a bit compromised, understandably, due to the swelling which seems to have increased throughout the day as I waited for his appointment. She noticed the scratches I mentioned and agreed with my thought that he may have been scratched by one of the other pups while he/she was trying to fight for position at the milk bar. Will keep everyone posted on Blue's progress... she did say not to expect much improvement for a few days. :-(

Fingers crossed. Thank you for vigilance and dedication. Puppies are a full time job, both physically and emotionally!

Poor baby! Good thing Baby Blue has his "supermom" to watch over him and his exhausted mama! What a full time job! How long is his course of antibiotics? I posted a comment a few days ago and couldn't figure out where it went..obviously on the wrong thread :( Blogging is all new to me! I think I'm up to speed now. I had to switch to my desktop so I could see the beauties up close. Thank you so much for all the wonderful updates June 23rd can't come soon enough. Praying for Blues speedy recovery

Dogs are way tougher than humans. He'll be doing fine in a couple of days and on his way to full potential. Thanks Debi for being attentive and providing the care needed!

They are tough... and Dobes seem a bit tougher than most. But because such a young baby, like human babies, they can crash quick. An observant eye and quick intervention always key. Human or pup. Blue seems to be doing well overall though. Just a little blip I think.

With the level of care watching over him he's got nothing to worry about. But sending him some good vibes again just in case.

Ha! No it didnt last long. Need to go picking again though. Definitely worth a repeat. But tomorrow I'm venturing into the world of Strawberry cake. They say meat etc is in short supply. So pie and cake it is. 🤣
