Life and Times....

Azaleas are nearly done... Once smallish row left to go and I'm calling it quits. At least for now. The  final monstrous hedge will likely wait until next year. At least I'll have one that won't skip the blooming season.  Projects here are always ongoing but I've got the largest ones for the year out of the way. Nearly reached my goal of having all done before the pups reach the appropriate age to begin their outdoor adventures. Despite a few small glitches. Last week was sweeper surgery and a flat on my Hustler. Two days ago it was surgery on the Hustler for a broken wire and yesterday woke up to a 1/2 flat trailer tire. All fixed now. Still dealing with remnants of roofing nails from a re-roof I had done a few months back. Fortunately the tires are collecting those that remain, and so far, my and my dogs feet have avoided them.

Garden is growing. Several tomatoes have set on their vines. Beans are loaded with blossoms. The cucumbers are coming to life with theirs. Appears the squash are about to follow suit with theirs. Finally seeing the fruits of some previous labor. Always a good thing.

The pups too are thriving. Can't forget them! lol  I absolutely enjoy each stage of a pups life but it's really fun watching them broaden their horizons. Right now they continue to sleep a lot but generally just the sound of my voice will bring them out of slumber. They've become pretty responsive to voice and are beginning to trot around their space. They're also beginning to show some interest in what may lie on the other side of the walls that contain them. And they're playing... chewing on and pawing at each other. Fun to watch. I'm anxious to turn my main focus away from work and on to socializing pups. Midway through week three, we're almost there! Week four... possibly my most favorite week of all. The one that brings forth the largest changes.

I see one adolescent pup was helping you with the garden work ;)

Seeing the pups peacefully sleeping makes me want to nestle up in a corner and take a nap with them. Thanks for sharing all this, it's great seeing them grow week to week. Can't wait to meet the little girl.

P.S. do you have the recipe to those chicken thighs with mushroom sauce? they look great.

It's my pleasure to share... as I always say my goal is that each of you loves each of these pups before you ever have a chance to lay hands on them. Getting you off of the right foot. Rearing them won't always be easy but well worth it.

Do I spy strawberry cake??!! Yum! Actually all those food pics made me hungry...no wonder it didn't last long - that's a lot of work, Deb. Lol, it's never ending - one thing finished and on to the next!

Wow the pups have changed so much in the last week - looking forward to outdoors pics and hear their exploration stories. That Blue is one photogenic little dude - he sure seems to love the camera!

So true... One adventure after another! And yes, strawberry cake made with fresh (hand picked) strawberries topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting... good stuff! Blue is definitely a cutie! Loaded with spice! I think he's aiming for firecracker position.

Love seeing the development of the litter, again. It’s amazing the progress they make is such a short period of time.

Wow they’re getting so big! Some a starting to fill out. How’s baby Blue doing? How’s his elbow hopefully his antibiotics are working. I can’t wait to see how much he gained on the next weigh in ❤️

Blue is doing great... elbow still swollen but improving. Kind of a wait and see at this point. Doesn't seem to bother him. He's a rambunctious little guy. Wait gain is good too. He had a bit of a set back but seems determined to make up for it... in spades.

For sure! To think they were barely able to move 3 and a half weeks ago it's nothing short of amazing. Truely! A blessing to watch. I try and share the changes but I'm sure not quite the same as seeing them in action. But on a day to day basis I don't see the change so much. Milestones, yes... eyes opening and the ability to hear are fairly obvious but day to day growth etc not so obvious. But to look back at them two weeks ago... WOW!

I broke my bush hog so the tractor and bush hog are in the shop . So I'm not gonna be able to finish my yard work until I get it back next week. The puppies are really growing fast. I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures and see how much they change.

I break things regularly around here... I guess the more often you use things the more likely something you'd rather not have happen, happens. Wish I had a hog! Would definitely quicken the maintenance process here. But then I'd need a tractor too. Another thing to maintain. I work my Hustler to the bone but it has been a good machine.

Hi Scott, I noticed that you live in Coral Springs. I have one of Debs awesome puppy, Apollo, who just turned 10 months old. He is one of Ritzy and Galtero’s offspring from last summer. We also live in Coral Springs. Everyone is going to experience great puppies with Deb, she is so devoted to her pups and socializes them enough to get them ready for the new world with the new puppy parents. Since we live in the same City maybe one day our have siblings can meet. Everyone enjoy this experience with Deb you will not get it with anyone else.

Hi Yvette!!! Deb has made our experience amazing thus far, and our family completely appreciates her!!! We live near Sample and University and have a good size fenced back yard so you and your family are more than welcome to visit anytime, even before Phoenix arrives.

Thank you Yvette... and thank both you and Robert for being such awesome pup parents to Apollo. You've done a great job with him!!!

I live between coral ridge and Coral Springs drive just off of lakeview drive. My daughter is actual buying a house near you just north of royal palm and east of university. Look forward to meeting you guys and Phoenix as well.

I love the idea of pup get togethers! Keeping it in the family. Not so fond of dog parks as mentioned earlier but in small controlled circumstances dog outings and get togethers are great. And often good friendships made.

Yes that’s exciting. We also can’t wait to become pup parents again in the future to one of your wonderful pups.
