Glad to see the rain dissipate! I know we need it sometimes, and to some degree I enjoy it, but at the same time I'm always glad to see it go. At some point today I'll be mopping up my beloved pawprints and have clean floors once again until the next rains come. I do appreciate Dobes for the small footprints they leave as opposed to Affie prints which are actually more like mop prints.
I took the time today and yesterday to tie up some paperwork and loose ends. Litter Registration is complete and A.K.C. Packets are on the way. Yesterday I scheduled the pups for their Ear Crops. The plan at this point in time is for 3 to be done on April 2nd and 6 on April 7th. I had a bit of a scare when I called because I was originally told Dr McBride would be out of the office for the week. There was a slight hesitation and then we settled on the requested dates. I plan to call in the morning and confirm and if possible I'll be reversing the number of pups on each date. I'll post if things change. In any event, as things stand, some of the pups will be ready to venture off with their new families April 6th after an office visit to obtain their Health Certificates and the others will be ready April 8th. Hope these dates help with your planning. Now is the time to be gathering supplies... crates if you plan to use them, kid gates which I've always found handy and of course a selection toys and appropriate things to chew. It's always easier... and cheaper to prepare than it is to have to go out and get puppy things at the last minute.
I'll try and snap a few more photos this evening and in the morning and get them posted. And I'll obtain another set of weights tomorrow evening before my work schedule comes calling once again.
