Yes it's true... procrastination is no longer an option! I woke up this morning and the realization hit me like a Mac truck. Yesterdays rains, muddy feet and paws helped to bring the seriousness of the situation to the forefront! With that said, the pups enjoyed their breakfast on the back deck attached to the smaller of the two dogs runs. They expressed some displeasure with their confinement when they could see mom running around with what appeared to be total freedom. They were quickly pacified though with a fresh bowl of water and heaping bowl of kibble.
The Dober kids have been in the run a couple other times but had yet to discover the attached dog house. In need of some time to get some things done and a desire to keep the pups quiet and comfy, I discovered an opportunity to continue on with puppy training 101. Todays lesson: learning to be content in new surroundings. When the first two ventured away from the food bowl I tossed a familiar blanket in there and introduced them to a new and different habitat. Half hour later, they are curled up in the ever growing puppy pile I've grown to love, fast asleep without a care in the world!
And then rang the phone... But I'm determined.... I will get this house in order! Famous last words!
