Well, I got notice from Weebly that the commenting issues have been resolved so I'm going to give it a go and try and respond to all. Wish me luck! Yes, Majestic snuck one in on me while I was updating the blog prior to calling it a night. Of course with the discovery sleep was put off a bit longer! lol A pleasant surprise indeed.

Linus.... love it! Majestic is doing great; sticking very close to her pups taking a break only to quickly.... and I mean quickly relieve herself. She's drinking well but still hasn't eaten a bit of food with the exception of a little ice cream last night between pups. Pretty normal for here. She's a bit of a worrier but is a wonderful, loving, careful and gentle mom.

That is great. Can't wrap my brain about the dog having ice cream. Our Nathan is 15 and has had diabetes since he was six! We are such nervous Nellies about what we feed the dog! Of course Nathan was never a Mom!

Suzy, my dogs don't routinely eat ice cream. It's just something I read some time back. The calcium is said to help with contractions during labor. I'm not sure how accurate that is in actuality but it's a sweet treat and cool so I always have some on hand for my girls when they're whelping. But you're right, I sometimes give my dogs people food. Not a frequently and generally not sweets. They love carrots and believe it or not lettuce. lol
