My Powerhouse
A couple litters back one of the people from the litter decided she'd like to develop a "litter specific" Facebook page. I think we got all on board from the litter and it seems they've really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how I'd like it since I've got my own Doberman Facebook page but in the end, I found I too really enjoyed it. Like anything else, some people are more active than others in their postings and comments. But I think everyone checks in on occasion. And as a result I've been able to follow the progress of each pup more closely. A couple others, apparently who still follow my postings here caught wind of the idea and asked if I would help recruit individual owners to their own litter specific pages. I happily obliged so now their are three.
The pages or groups have been not only fun for them but also a source of support and I think motivational for some. While each of these pups will grow up in various elements, they all share many similar characteristics and their owners many of the same joys as well as challenges. I think the sharing of ideas of things that work have been appreciated and the challenges faced give people a sense their pup is normal whether it comes to the puppy antics of play biting, jumping or bed chewing. Yes, these things will happen and it's best to be prepared. It seems it's nice to know you're not going it alone when things are going less than perfect.
If any of you have an interest in a litter specific page so you can share with each other, let me know. I would prefer not to be administrator of the page but co-administrator is fine- at least until things get up and running.
My Getka Girl... Just a wee little pup herself. Once upon a time!
