I am looking for a black and tan male Doberman puppy. I have owned two Doberman, one male and one female. I got the male first and he was trained as a Service Dog for me as I am deaf. At 18 months old he got Addison's disease and was very sick. We spent $425.00 a month to keep him alive between all of the medication and food, and we loved him very much. He was too sick to help me with my hearing issues anymore, so we got a female to train to be my Service Dog. Tobey (my male) died suddenly one afternoon from Bloat, we tried everything to save him, my son and I doing CPR and the Heimlich and not understanding why we couldn't get any air in. It was later found out it was from the bloat. It was a very sad day. Takoda, my female was heart broken at first, we got a kitten and she really became attached to her. Takoda has been a wonderful Service Dog for me, she is a trooper and goes in and out of elevators and basically is my protector and ears. I was attacked in Las Vegas in my hotel room, because I didn't hear the man come in and I woke up with this huge man over me, I swore that day that no one would ever approach my bed again. Takoda is now over 8 years old and has gotten pancreatitis and is now having seizures. She is on medication, but things don't look very good. My husband and I have discussed it and we feel that this is a good time to get a new puppy for her to mother and help us train. When Tobey was sick, and we got Takoda, it really picked up his attitude and gave him a reason to live. We have a nice size fenced in yard and on the other side of our house we have a small fenced in yard, where we let them out at night to make. The most important thing to me is that this time I get a healthy dog, so it is important for me to know the background and health of the parents. Our son is grown so it is just my husband and myself at the house although we have company often. We also have two cats. Please let me know if you have a male black and tan Doberman available or if you could suggest another breeder that you know is good if yours are all sold. Also, just so you know, I have owned horses all my life and we had a 13 acre farm in New Jersey and we owned two horses, a pony, a goat, two sheep (I spin the wool), two dogs and three cats. I just wanted to let you know that I have cared for many different animals over the years. We live in Lutz, which is just North of Tampa, but still in Hillsborough County.
