Mash!
My trip into Gainesville ran a bit longer than anticipated yesterday so didn't get their new habitat set up. At the end of the day I decided it's just as well. The location set aside for the next 4 weeks is an add on to the original and without an AC vent, and a tile over concrete floor, it's the coldest room in the house. Not too cold for pups at this stage of the game but I figure if I wait a couple days it should warm back up for us and temps will be a non issue. I want it to be a good experience for them when I move them. And truth be told I miss having the pups alongside my bed when I transition them. Just like clockwork this group is getting pretty responsive and social. Their eye contact is taking hold and when I talk to them they're now coming over to the bed side of the whelping box to greet me. They stand with front feet up on the lip of the boards and I'll drag them up, one at a time for cuddles and kisses. And puppy breath. The main benefit of the move is far less laundry. Not too big an issue yet but coming soon. I drug the corral out today and disinfected all components so they're ready to go... maybe tomorrow will be the big day. Not much else planned at this point. Now that their eating solids they also need a water bowl which is difficult to set up in their current habitat.
