Got the paperwork done.... The litter is officially registered. Now it's up to each of you to start thinking of appropriate AKC registered names. The form you'll receive from me is an application to complete registration in your own name and give your pup a name of your choosing. There's a small fee to do so but I hope each of you will follow through with it. Your AKC name can include your pups call name or stand on it's own. It can also include any part or all of my kennel name (got my back) but unlike some breeders I don't require you use it. You'll be given 39 spaces to fill. Special characters and spaces themselves count as a space.
I've also decided to schedule a pre-op appointment for Blue well in advance of our scheduled cropping appointment. Considering his slow weight gain and somewhat rough start I think it's prudent for him to have a separate and full eval and go with whatever recommendations are forthcoming. My fingers remain crossed for him. He continues to do well. He's playful and his weight gain has improved. But surgery along with anesthesia is kind of a big deal. For us and for them. Our appointment is in Wildwood on the 20th.
