This photo group, taken yesterday, wraps up week four with the pups' first outdoor adventure with mom. Since she seems reluctant to venture into their new habitat, I wasn't sure what to expect when I introduced her to the mix at the tail end of their group adventure. She danced around them for a few moments, scoped out the general lay of the land and ended up plopping herself smack dab in the middle of the dirt for a nursing session. Ever alert... keeping an eye in all directions while still at intervals tending to her pups. Hoping she'll step up to the plate a couple weeks down the road for some sessions of puppy ed 101. Respect and distance. Some moms I've learned, are better educators than others. Something tells me Remedy will be one of the good ones. But like all else... time will tell.
