A busy week and a week full of promised changes. Despite some adverse weather.
First a few days of cold mixed with off and on rain and then yesterday a full day of rain! Funny, late last week I posted a photo on Facebook of an empty pit that until last week has been a swamp pond. What was, for years, my fire pit told to have been dug for the purpose of drainage filled up over night during Hurricane Irma. And it remained full for an entire year. Only recently to begin to receding. And finally last week it was gone. But... unfortunately not for long. This morning my tour of the grounds found not just the hoped for puddle but once again, a replenished body of water. The unwanted return of Lake Irma! Lots of rain yesterday... For the whole state by the looks of radar. But fortunately none of the tornados etc they predicted we had a chance for. And no downed trees. Always a good thing. Especially since I'm still down a burn pit.
Anyway... we've worked around the weather. Day before yesterday, as planned, I was able to get the pups out in pairs and grab some photos of their antics. Then yesterday taking advantage of a full day inside, I managed to get some cleaning done and got the pups moved into their new spot. They seem to enjoy having a little variety in their space. And my worry of hydration a thing of the past as they took to the water bowl almost immediately. I placed the ottoman alongside the gate to the pup corral. Remedy continues to lay there from time to time but hasn't ventured into the new space which surprised me a little. Fortunately the pups are doing well with their mash and it's time to up their feedings to three times daily. Remedy's ready.
Today, another pretty nice day allowed for our first group outing... and of course photos. The pups had fun playing with the provided toys and with each other. And they've already got a pretty good "follow me" going on. Right up to the point that I added mom the mix. Seems that bond is still pretty strong and I all but forgotten given a choice.
And now, at this late hour it seems I'm left with nearly a weeks worth of photos to go through, organize, upload and share. In preparation for week five!
I'm telling you! This time is flying!!!
