Today was our first really big day outside. As a group, the pups spent several hours outdoors with me... I set up a corral for safe keeping and went from there. The day marked a couple more firsts. Once we got everybody settled, I set them up with their first outdoor dining experience which happened also to be their first solid, non-moistened kibble. Eating, and the resulting full belly, as we all know, is best enjoyed followed by a nap so that was next on their agenda. They slept while I gave the indoor spot a deep clean. After nap they had a grand time. They ran, played and explored in group before falling into nap number two. I brought them back in the house in groups of three... The biggest challenge of all! At this age, they develop spots of comfort quickly and don't really want to stray too far from that spot or from their litter-mates. Following for any distance, crossing thresholds, changing surfaces etc is a big deal for them. A work in progress! Glad we finally had a full day of warm weather that we could really get out and enjoy. We need more of them. The upcoming forecast looks great -so hopefully we'll have many more similar opportunities aimed at confidence building. Today kind of wore them out. But I think they're a good kind of tired. They're noticeably quieter... not gnawing on and pestering each other to the degree of what has become their norm. They are content little Dobermans without excess energy to burn. They don't so much as raise an ear when I walk by them. Some serious snoozing going on! That though, I'm sure will be short lived. And tomorrow is yet another day....

Great pictures Debi. I'm sure you have got to know each personality but I wonder especially with the B/R if you can tell who is who without the colored collars. Lol

With this litter, I would have to say yes... I think so. Might have a little trouble with Green Blue and Black... but I think I'd get them right. I never remove the collars though unless I have a replacement to reapply because I would never be 100% sure. These little paracord collars have actually proved to worth their weight in gold. They wash well and I've got two sets. That being said, they could use a wash now. All things in good time.

Debi, what's your best guess on their weights now that they are solid food.. The look pretty chunky.
