Azaleas are nearly done... Once smallish row left to go and I'm calling it quits. At least for now. The final monstrous hedge will likely wait until next year. At least I'll have one that won't skip the blooming season. Projects here are always ongoing but I've got the largest ones for the year out of the way. Nearly reached my goal of having all done before the pups reach the appropriate age to begin their outdoor adventures. Despite a few small glitches. Last week was sweeper surgery and a flat on my Hustler. Two days ago it was surgery on the Hustler for a broken wire and yesterday woke up to a 1/2 flat trailer tire. All fixed now. Still dealing with remnants of roofing nails from a re-roof I had done a few months back. Fortunately the tires are collecting those that remain, and so far, my and my dogs feet have avoided them.
Garden is growing. Several tomatoes have set on their vines. Beans are loaded with blossoms. The cucumbers are coming to life with theirs. Appears the squash are about to follow suit with theirs. Finally seeing the fruits of some previous labor. Always a good thing.
The pups too are thriving. Can't forget them! lol I absolutely enjoy each stage of a pups life but it's really fun watching them broaden their horizons. Right now they continue to sleep a lot but generally just the sound of my voice will bring them out of slumber. They've become pretty responsive to voice and are beginning to trot around their space. They're also beginning to show some interest in what may lie on the other side of the walls that contain them. And they're playing... chewing on and pawing at each other. Fun to watch. I'm anxious to turn my main focus away from work and on to socializing pups. Midway through week three, we're almost there! Week four... possibly my most favorite week of all. The one that brings forth the largest changes.
